The winner receives $5,000 and an all-expenses-paid in-person studio and production session with Wyclef Jean
The winner will be determined by total fan votes + weighted votes from Wyclef and team and will be announced on OpenWav.
General Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years old by the audition deadline
Open to independent artists of all nationalities and backgrounds
Must have access to a smartphone and internet connection to upload entries via the official OpenWav platform
All submissions must be original vocal performances (no AI-generated vocals or impersonations)
Only one entry per artist is allowed each round
Entries must be submitted by 11:59 PM PST on the last day of each submission round
Content Guidelines:
No hate speech, explicit violence, or promotion of illegal activity
Ensure clear, high-quality audio and video—no distorted recordings
Competition Tips:
Post on your social media to allow your submission to reach all outlets
Fully complete your OpenWav profile. What does that look like? Uploading all your music, creating exclusive content, and designing merch. You will have better chances of being seen with a completed profile.
